Pawnee, Okla.- April 12, 2021, Pawnee Nation Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma is excited to announce that we are going to host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the New Covid Storage & Distribution Center. The event will be on April 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM. We are inviting all tribal members of Pawnee Nation and individuals from the surrounding community to join us in celebrating this event. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, this facility will play a valuable role by housing programs that will serve & protect the community throughout this pandemic. Moreover, it will enhance the Pawnee Nation’s ability to provide the needed resources to our community through our newly developed COVID Division within the Pawnee Nation. Our goal is to mitigate the spread of this virus and provide the necessary resources throughout the community and this brand-new facility and division will help in achieving that goal. The warehouse will be used to store PPE and other mitigating related items throughout the year, in which the Pawnee Nation will be hosting events to hand out these items to everyone in the community. We are also happy to mention the new partnership with Unity Healthcare Association that will be implementing Covid vaccination in the following weeks. In addition, the Pawnee Nation will be storing meat and other food items to help during this period. In conjunction with this Ribbon Cutting, the Pawnee Nation will be hosting a meat distribution to our Pawnee Nation Citizens on a first come first served basis, while supplies last. This event will start at 10:00 AM on April 15, 2021 at the Covid Storage & Distribution Center (200 Morris Rd.). This is for Tribal member that are 18 years and older, so please bring your Pawnee tribal membership or CDIB card.
