Pawnee Nation Court has lost our Public Defender and good friend, Jon M. Carter

With great sadness, the Pawnee Nation Court has lost our Public Defender and good friend, Jon M. Carter. Jon worked with our court for many years, providing services to our tribal members and acting as guardian ad litem for many children in need of representation. He was a voice for those whose voices are often silenced. Jon was more than just an attorney; he was a friend. He truly cared about each of his clients and stood up for them. Our most sincere condolences to his family.
