Pawnee Business Council Special Meeting
Pawnee Reserve, Okla. (September 17, 2024) President Misty Nuttle calls the meeting to order at 5:39 p.m. Councilmen Gene Evans gives the invocation.
Roll Call: All were in attendance except Councilwomen Dawna Hare, who was excused.
Approval of Agenda: Motion made by Sammye Kemble to approve the Pawnee Business Council Special Meeting agenda for September 17, 2024, with changes to remove New Business 3. Discussion and/or action on Memorandum of Understanding with the Pawnee Seed Preservation Society and 6. Approval of Resolution #24-55 Pawnee Nation District Court Public Defender Temporary Emergency Appointment, seconded by Carol Chapman. Motion Fails
Motion made by Cynthia Butler to approve the Pawnee Business Council Special Meeting agenda for September 17, 2024, seconded by Jordan Kanuho. Motion carries.
New business:
1. Approval of Resolution #24-53 Indian Electric Cooperative Right of Way- Pawnee Tribal Development Corp.- Motion Approved & Motion carries
2. Approval of Resolution #24-54 Land into Trust Application – PTDC Bellew Parcel. Motion Approved & Motion carries
3. Discussion and/or action on Memorandum of Understanding with the Pawnee Seed Preservation Society. Motion Table & Motion carries
4. Approval of the Tribal Energy Development Capacity Contract with Baker Tilly Advisory Group. Motion Approved & Motion carries
5. Budget Committee Recommendation:
a. Approval of 2299 Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act Budget. Motion Approved & Motion carries
b. Approval of 1035 Food Distribution Tribal Match Budget Mod #1. Motion Approved & Motion carries
6. Approval of Resolution #24-55 Pawnee Nation District Court Public Defender Temporary Emergency Appointment. Motion Approved & Motion carries
