Pawnee Indian Hospital Construction of the Pawnee-Ponca Hospital began in 1929 and was completed by 15 January 1931, the date it opened. The hospital had a fifty-five-bed capacity and included an attached ward for tubercular patients. The separate, matching building to the west of the main building for use as a nurses’ residence.
