Human Resources

The Pawnee Nation Office of Human Resources is dedicated to supporting all departments and employees across the Nation through comprehensive workforce services that strengthen organizational capacity, promote employee success, and uphold compliance with tribal, state, and federal labor standards.
Our key priorities include recruiting highly qualified candidates, coordinating effective onboarding, and ensuring employees receive clear guidance, support, and access to the benefits they deserve. HR maintains accurate personnel records, oversees the administration of employee benefits, and provides employee relations services that foster a professional, respectful, and culturally informed work environment.
To better support operational needs across all divisions, the department is also establishing a yearly temporary employee bank, designed to maintain a pool of eligible applicants who can assist departments requiring additional short‑term support. This initiative ensures quicker access to qualified personnel, reduces hiring delays, and increases the Nation’s ability to respond to fluctuating staffing demands.
The department continuously develops and refines policies and procedures that reflect best practices and upholds the sovereignty, values, and expectations of the Pawnee Nation. HR also conducts ongoing research and analysis to ensure wages and compensation structures remain competitive and equitable across all divisions.
Through these core functions and initiatives, the Human Resources plays a vital role in building a strong, skilled, and engaged workforce. We remain committed to providing consistent, high‑quality service to employees and leadership, supporting the long‑term growth and success of the Pawnee Nation.
