The Community House has been a major focal point for the Pawnee Nation.  Handgames, meetings, and the Mourner’s Feast were held within this building for years after its construction.  New buildings slowly replaced some functions of the Community House, but it still hosts handgames, meetings, and small community events.  The cookshack on the southside and the kitchen are used for traditional and/or ceremonial meals.
