The Governing Documents Committee awarded a $400.00 Scholarship to Pawnee Tribal Member, Ms. Avery Jenkins. Ms. Jenkins is attending Southern University Law Center. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University and A&M College of Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she majored in Liberal Arts and Sociology. She is a first generation college student and a first generation law student. 

"I do my best to fight for what is right everyday and will continue to do so with extreme pride and love for my tribe. I hope to encourage and inspire others to get into the field of law and do the same." said Ms. Jenkins. She also mentions that she looks forward to giving back to her community.
