Fall Centerpiece Pumpkin Floral Arrangement:
On Wednesday, September 30th the Pawnee Nation Ti Hirasa Domestic Violence Program hosted a pumpkin floral arrangement centerpiece class. During this time attendees were able to craft a fall centerpiece and unwind in a healthy way with the Brave Women’s group.
Ti Hirasa’s mission statement: To provide prevention and awareness, and to increase victim safety and offender accountability.
The Violence Against Women program offers confidential support services to victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. The service area consists of all Pawnee County, regardless of age, economic status, race, religion, or education background, although Pawnee members and Native American women have priority. Based on a strengths perspective, the program provides services such as case management, emergency shelter services, court accompaniment and advocacy, 24-hour crisis intervention, information/referrals, and development and distribution of relevant materials.
