The Pawnee Nation Recognizes Men’s Health Awareness Month

June 23, 2025 three Pawnee Nation programs joined forces to recognize Men’s Health Awareness Month. The Diabetes Program, Community Health Representatives /Health Education, and the Title VI Elder Nutrition Program brought men together for a Walk for Awareness. Chebon Gooden gave an uplifting speech to enlighten the participants about the importance of awareness of their health.

Suzi Knife Chief, Diabetes Program Manager, commented, “It’s important for Men to take care of their health. Many times, their health is overlooked because of circumstances that may arise. Prevention is key in prolonging certain inherent diseases. Men should monitor to take care of themselves for a healthy lifestyle.”

Door prizes were the fun highlight of the event. Smiles were worn by every male participant. It was a successful gathering of people and purpose.
