Potable Water Distribution

JUSTIFICATION FOR POTABLE WATER DISTRIBUTION:

Water within the City of Pawnee, Oklahoma has violated drinking water standards. The City of Pawnee does not consider this an emergency and has notified its customers of the tests that have been done. The City of Pawnee continues to monitor, test, and correct the situation; and has stated there is no potential adverse health effect. Although alternative water supplies are not needed, this one-time distribution is being carried out to offer citizens an additional source of water to keep on hand as the City of Pawnee continues to improve its water system and in response to the public health emergency.

Water distribution will be on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, beginning NO SOONER THAN 10:30 a.m. at Williams Grocery in Pawnee. This is for the City of Pawnee ONLY and recipients MUST bring their electric bill. The application for this one time distribution will be attached as a downloadable link at the bottom of this page.
