The new emergency vehicle will prepare to act against any pandemic pending in the future. It permits efficient use of manpower with flexibility of combing operations into one multipurpose response, offering more than ground operations during incidents. This in return will create a positive impact on community, property, and environmental safety while centrally located within PN jurisdiction.

The funds for this particular project partially came from tribal funds. It also derived funding support from a grant through Enbridge Inc., a globally diversified energy company with an office out of Cushing, Oklahoma. The project was constructed by Builder’s Unlimited, Inc.

The Helicopter Pad Project was identified by the Pawnee Indian Health Center (PIHC) as a need to help get patients to a higher level of care quickly and safely.

Brian Kirk, Pawnee Nation Executive Director (Acting) gave the closing remarks.
