The Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma Welcomes Moccasins Across America 2025: A Journey of Healing and Unity

Pawnee Reserve, Okla. (July 15, 2025)-Moccasins Across American 2025 walks through the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma reserve. Greeted by the Cultural Resources Director, Herb Adson, the group carries their cross across the Pawnee land in prayer.

According to Sacrednationrises.org, the MAA 2025 is “Led by Terri Windtalker and partners, this movement seeks to mend the fabric of our nation through collective prayer, evangelism, and shared purpose.”



Windtalker is quoted as saying, “We are a confluence of the waters of many peoples flowing quiet and mighty. We are taking our place, telling the world.”


The group arrived on July 14, 2025, welcomed by Herb Adson who greeted them with a meal and oral traditional storytelling as an introduction to the Pawnee people and their history. Adson gave them an invitation to camp at the Pawnee Nation Campgrounds overnight.

On July 15, 2025, members of the Pawnee Nation, including Pawnee Business Councilwoman Dawna Hare, joined Moccasins Across American 2025 as they walked in honor and prayer of the First Nations people.
