2025 Hawk Chief 5K Run!

Pawnee Reserve, Okla. (July 5, 2025)- The 2025 Hawk Chief 5K Run! was a huge success. The event started at the Pawnee Nation Wellness Center (parking lot) located at 806 Morris Road. Motivation and smiles were everywhere as Diabetes Program Coordinator, Suzy Knife Chief, synced efforts with the Oklahoma Race Company to host the Walk/Run. The option to walk was included for those not necessarily able to run but still wanting to participate and demonstrate healthy ways at any stage.

Categories for the 5K Race included: 17 and Under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-54, 55+, and Overall Winners.

55+ Winners: 3rd – Eddy Eppler, 2nd – Laurence Toquet, and 1st – Stephen Lanier

40-54 Winners: 3rd – Abrice Le Corguywle, 2nd – Marcel Desmarteau, and 1st – JC Higgins

30-39 Winners: 3rd – Kirk Shaw, 2nd – Russell Harjo, and 1st – Whitney Baze

18-29 Winners: 3rd – Feathers Valencia, 2nd – Caleb Ellis Horsechief, and 1st – Burt Miner

17 & Under Winners: 3rd – Adam Pratt, 2nd – Atticus Clark-Hare, and 1st – Devin Feathers

The Overall Winners were (male) Burt Miner and (female) Jayda Moore! Congratulations to all.
